Sofia, June 13 (BTA) - Bulgarian President Rumen Radev and the CEO of Dubai Ports World, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, discussed Wednesday the possibilities for Bulgaria's development as a regional logistical centre for goods bound to Europe from Asia, said the President's Press Secretariat.
The discussion followed up on President Radev's participation in the St. Petersburg Economic Forum where he invited business representatives to invest in Bulgaria, said the President's press secretariat.
It adds that DP World is one of the world's largest port operators with 78 logistical terminals in various parts of the world.
Radev told the DP World CEO that Bulgaria's strategic location between Asia and Europe, and qualified labour make the perfect choice of a regional logistical centre.
Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem said that DP World has interest in investing in Bulgarian ports and in creating hi-tech logistical centres inland. He also reportedly said that the Bulgarian ports on the Danube allow fast access to the other European countries. IG/LN/
