NACO President hails Baku Congress agenda

President of the News Agencies World Council (NACO), Press Association CEO Clive Marshall has hailed the agenda of the 5th News Agencies World Congress that kicks off in the Azerbaijani capital of Baku on Wednesday.

“What we expect from the congress is that we have over 100 news agencies from all of the world and we have a fantastic professional agenda where we can share ideas, identify some of the challenges that our business is facing and try and work out how we can face those challenges,” he told AZERTAC.

Mr Marshall said main issues on the agenda include “safety of journalists, the professionalism of journalism, and how we can continue to promote independent, impartial news coverage in various countries”.
